Job Summary

This role drives operational performance by coordinating workflows, monitoring employee productivity, and continuously improving manufacturing processes. The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring on-time delivery, maintaining safety standards, and developing team members to support overall business objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily shop floor operations by assigning work, monitoring performance, and adjusting workflows to meet production schedules.
- Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Train, coach, and evaluate employees on job performance, safety practices, and quality expectations; maintain accurate training documentation.
- Coordinate with other supervisors and departments to align production priorities and resources.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production results, safety updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production output and inspect products to ensure conformance to specifications and company standards.
- Identify and address safety and environmental hazards; promote and enforce safe work practices and housekeeping standards.
- Analyze production processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Interpret job orders, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Counsel employees on attendance, performance, and conduct, and partner with HR as needed.
- Manage timekeeping systems and monitor employee attendance and dependability.
- Support inventory coordination, material requisitioning, and job readiness.
- Assist with machine setup, troubleshooting, and operational support as needed.
- Ensure Bill of Materials (BOMs) and job orders are complete and accurate prior to production.
- Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and manufacturing strategies.

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field.
- Preferred: Lean Manufacturing and /or Six Sigma certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy environments.
- Must be able to become forklift certified.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination and mechanical problem-solving ability.
- Ability to access and navigate all areas of the facility.
